Kozhi Milagu Kuzhambu | Spicy Chicken Pepper Curry | Pepper Chicken Curry Recipe | South Indian Pepper Chicken Curry

Kozhi Milagu Kuzhambu
Kozhi Milagu Kuzhambu | South Indian Pepper Chicken Curry Recipe with step wise pictures. Today's recipe is a spicy, flavorful and healthy chicken curry that is prepared using freshly ground spices & Pepper corns. For the first time, tried a chicken recipe of my own. Generally, I hesitate to experiment with non-veg recipes and always follow my mom/mil's recipes or from websites.
But this time, wanted to try something different and healthy curry recipe with Pepper corns. I have already shared a vegetarian Poondu Milagu Kuzhambu recipe, keeping a base of that recipe I tried this kozhi milagu kuzhambu and it turned out so good with lovely dark brown color and flavor. It tasted so spicy and yummy with thinai Idli/millet idlis & plain rice as well. I made this 2 weeks back for our weekend breakfast along with idlis. It was slightly spicy for my kids but still they loved it with idlis. Perfect Hot & spicy curry for this cold weather.

Chole Masala Recipe | Easy Chole Recipe | Channa Masala For Batura

Chole Masala
Easy Chole Masala Recipe/Chole Recipe for Batura with Step by Step photos. I have already shared Chole Batura and Restaurant style Channa Masala recipes, this chole version is a quick and easy pressure cooker method. I always prefer one pot meal or one pot cooking method and this is one such recipe using store bought chole masala powder. Actually, I wanted to share the authentic Punjabi Chole recipe. Being a friend and neighbor to Punjabi family, I wanted to learn  authentic Punjabi recipes. I have tasted Punjbai Samosa, Aloo Parantha, chaats, Kadhi Pakora, Punjabi Chole, Batura & few more recipes prepared by Auntie. She makes the best samosa, kadhi and all her dishes are yummy.

When I asked Auntie for the Chole recipe, She said that they use an unique Chole Masala Powder for Chole. And she added that the Chole Masala Powder is from Delhi, India from their well know spice store. Auntie & myself tried to identify the ingredients from that powder but in vain. We able to judge 1 or 2 ingredients but not the whole and the proportions. She said that she have tried couple of time to make homemade channa masala powder but wasn't successful. But she suggested to try the it the same way with any store bought Chole Masala Powder. Then one fine day as per her suggestion I tried this recipe and it turned out good.

So for my kids and to feed my blog this time tried a different recipe with Paneer.

Kolhapuri Masala, an unique blend of spices that is freshly roasted and ground gives a nice flavor and taste to the curry. This curry pairs well with Jeera Pulao, Rotis, Naan & Pooris also. I referred Nisha Madhulika Ji's recipe video for this recipe and slightly tweaked it to our taste.

Vendakkai Poriyal Recipe | Okra Stir Fry | Bhindi Stir Fry

Vendakkai Poriyal Recipe
South Indian Lunch menu doesn't complete without this main side dish - Poriyal. At home everyone like Poriyal so daily or the other day i make Poriyal or stir fry for lunch. Simple rasam and a poriyal makes our meal more comfort and filling. Vendakkai Poriyal is one healthy & simple Poriyal/Stir fry that can be done in a jiffy if you have chopped okra in hand. Vendakkai Poriyal is my kid's favorite poriyal. He love plain rice mixed with vendakkai poriyal and generous ghee. Even i love okra poriyal that way than as a side dish. Unlike other vegetable, okra has slimy nature and needs little care and patience to cook it perfectly. If you follow this recipe, then you can make super crispy and tasty okra fry without slimy texture and taste.

Chicken Dry Curry Recipe / Spicy Chicken Dry Curry

chicken dry curry
Chicken Dry Curry / Indian Style Dry chicken curry is a spicy and flavorful side dish to go with rice and rasam or even with phulka rotis. This dry chicken curry is prepared with freshly ground spices with simple and easy preparation.
As I am getting request to post more chicken & fish recipes from my readers, I wanted to try some new chicken recipes so that i can share for my readers. So, this time i tried this simple and spicy chicken dry curry recipe. Actually i started to try chettinad or Andhra style chicken dry curry. But most of the recipe calls for dry roast, grind and multiple preparation. So i tried it in my own way with simple recipe. Instead of roasting I ground the spices as such and used it for tadka. This way the chicken curry absorbed all the flavors from the ground spice mix and turned out so flavorful and spicy also. We had it for our lunch along with plain rice and rasam, a satisfying weekend meal!

Masoor Dal Sambar / Masoor Dal Sambar Using Pressure Cooker / Pressure Cooker Sambar

Masoor Dal Sambar using Pressure Cooker. You Might think what's new in this? We usually cook dal in pressure cooker then why the title using Pressure cooker, Right? Yes.,this is bit different from our regular sambar in which the entire process is done in pressure cooker and it takes 20-25 minutes. No need to cook dal separately just saute onion, tomato, veggies and dal and cook together for 2 whistle that's it Sambar Ready. Sounds Interesting? As i said early, i always prefer quick fix meal that takes 30 minutes or less to make the complete meal. Like the Pressure Cooker Channa Masala Curry this Masoor Dal Sambar is one such recipe that doesn't require prior cooking process and the entire dish is made in pressure cooker. you can cook sambar and rice, stir fry simultaneously and everything will be ready in 30 minutes. Unlike Tuvar dal, Masoor dal cooks faster and no need to cook it separately. I often make this Masoor dal sambar with any desired veggies. Here, i used Brinjal, Drumstick, Radish. Only thing is you need to chop veggies little big chunks so that it will not turn mushy after pressure cooking.

Tofu Tawa Masala / Easy Tofu Sabzi - Easy Tofu Recipes

I always look forward to try Tofu Recipes and this Tofu Tawa Masala is one of my recent try after Chatakedar Tofu. I simply tweaked the Paneer Tawa Masala recipe and made this Tofu Tawa Masala. Paneer Tawa Masala is a popular Punjabi sabzi, that is easy to make spicy curry with creamy texture. I recreated the famous North Indian Masala with Tofu and also prepared it as a complete Vegan dish. Instead of cream here, I used ground Cashew nut paste which resulted in rich and creamy taste and texture. And also compared to paneer dish this is low fat and protein rich. My family love Tofu and I started using it regularly in our diet and very rarely buy Paneer only for kids. Now off to the recipe...
