Biscuit Sablé / Eggless French Shortbread Biscuits

From this Monday Love 2 Bake event starts and as per the event Every coming Monday i will be posting a Baked recipe. I am happy to see the response and support from my fellow bloggers and Thank you friends for joining hands with me and lets learn and experiment more.
Starting Love 2 Bake event this week with this buttery melt in mouth French Shortbread Biscuits / Biscuits Sables. Biscuits Sables is one of the recipe chose for Home Baker;s Challenge by this month's host Priya of Priya's Verstatile recipes. Jewish Challah Bread / Vegan Challah Bread / Four Strand Braided Challah

Jewish Challah Bread was in my do list for long time and finally it happened this week. Thanks to Priya R for challenging Home Baker's Group Members with Christmas Bakes - Cakes, Cookies & Bread for this month's Challenge. This Jewish Challah Bread was one of the recipe given for this Month's HBC event. She given us the Traditional Challah Bread recipe with eggs and also a Vegan version. I tried the Vegan Challah Bread/ Four strand Challah braids this time and wanted to try the Traditional version with 6 strand braids sometime later.
The vegan bread turned out so soft, aromatic and delicious than to my expectations. I used besan flour instead of chickpea flour, so i felt very light flavor of chickpea flour. It was to me only, by hubby did not complain anything and the kids too. So i recommend to use chickpea flour and if you use besan flour, dry roast it for 2-3 minutes then use it in the recipe. My kids liked the bread as such with butter. I also tried Eggless Bread Pudding with few slices and that was super Hit, will be posting here soon. Now off to the recipe...

Eggless Oats Chocolate Biscottis / Oats Chocolate Biscotti

For this Month's Home Baker's Challenge, Priya given us four Biscotti recipes. Biscottis arenothing but a twice baked cookies, originated in Italy. These cookies or biscuits are oblong shaped and crunchy cookies. Of the Four Biscotti Recipes, I picked this Eggless Oats Chocolate Biscotti. This recipe is Priya's own creation, she had used wholegrain - oats in this Italian cookies that is very innovative and nice way to include wholegrain in kid's snack. I am happy that I tried this eggless oats chocolate biscottis, they turned out good and my kids loved it a lot. All biscottis vanished in two days and not even a small single piece left to their dad. And, yesterday again they asked for biscottis, so I am planning to bake another batch by tomorrow. Thank you Priya for this wonderful recipe and I really enjoyed this month's challenge. This is sure a keeper.

Honey Drizzled Semolina Cake / Semolina Cake

This month's Home Baker's Challenge, Shama of Easy 2Cook Recipes challenged us with 6 different savory muffins, sweet muffins & cakes. Of the six i tried this Honey Drizzled Semolina cake and the cake turned out super good and delicious. A very easy and simple cake with great taste. Thank you shama for this yummy choice of recipe and i really liked it. Sure this gonna be a keeper recipe. Here i used our regular semolina/sooji/white rava, I simply pulsed it in a blender and used it in the recipe. But the semolina flour will give you a perfect cake like texture, mine was bit crumbly and crust was bit crisp we loved it too.
I also added 1/4 tsp cardamom powder to the sugar syrup since i forgot to add Vanilla to the cake batter, so the cake was dominated by cardamom flavor and it was like a buttery Indian milk sweet. Do give it a try, definitely you will love it.

Marbled Asian Bread / Chocolate Marble Asian Bread (Roux Method) ~ Home Baker's Challenge # 4

This month's Home Baker's Challenge hosted by Manjula of Desi Fiesta and she picked four different breads for this Month's Home Bakers Challenge. Namely, Rainbow Swirl Bread, Strawberry chocolate stuffed Monkey Bread, Anadama Bread & Marbled Asian Bread. Out of the four i tried this "Chocolate Marble Asian Bread" using Water Roux Method. This is a simple and easy to make bread and you don't need any bread machine. This bread is made using Water Roux or Tangzhong Method, this is nothing but a mixture of water and bread flour is heated and stirred just until it forms a paste. This paste act as a dough enhancer and helps the bread to get right texture and improves the moisture in the final baked loaf. I have already tried a bread recipe using this Tangzhong method, Hokkaido Milk Bread. Both the breads were so soft, milky flavor and delicious. But this Marbled bread tasted slight bitter with the chocolate part but if its served with any spread like Jam, Nutella it tastes great. The bread remains soft and fresh even the second day. My kids loved it a lot.  Thanks Manjula for this wonderful challenge, except the braids shape and marble pattern the bread texture and taste was awesome. I really liked it. Proper Braids needs practice and patience i think, will try it next time with more patience and interest ;) Now off to the recipe....

Mango Chocolate Marble Cake / Mango Marble Loaf Cake ~ Home Baker's Challenge # 2

After completing after our first Challenge Pizza, a savory bake this time i chosen Mango Chocolate Marble Cake for the second month challenge. Thanks Home Bakers Challenge group members for giving me this wonderful opportunity to Host and give the baking challenge with my desired recipe. Its my long time wish to try this Mango & Chocolate combo, have seen many no bake cakes with this combo but not much the baked version. And more over its summer and Mango, king of fruit is easily available. So i decided to bake this mango-choco combo with you all and i have picked two different recipes, one with Egg & butter and the second one is Eggless & Butterless recipe. I tried the eggless & butter less version and it came out so good, very moist, soft & delicious cake. Actually i picked two recipes with Banana & chocolate combo and experimented with Mango Pulp instead of banana puree. To my surprise the combo turned out perfectly, Mango & chocolate paired well.

Aloo Gobi Pizza / Tandoori Aloo Gobi Pizza

From this month we are starting our Home Baker's Challenge , a monthly baking event for both blogger & Non bloggers initated by Priya & team, with the first baking recipe, Pizza. From kids to aged person love pizza, the color, its colorful appearance, cheesy texture n chewy bread tempts everyone to have atleast a bite. We too love pizza/only veggie pizza and once in a month or two months once will enjoy pizza at pizza Hut.

Announcing Home Baker's Challenge

We are a group of friends who love baking have joined hands together. Our motive is to learn and excel in baking, helping each other. One fine day, we were discussing about Baking and its techniques and suddenly we got an idea what if we start a group and bake together, so that we can learn things together. Thus this group, Home Bakers Challenge was born. This is how it works, every month one person of the team will suggest a recipe and all the members have to bake the recipe and reveal it on the said date. By doing this we get to learn new techniques and explore the side of baking which otherwise we would not have ventured so. With the support and suggestions from the group members this is possible. Do you find this interesting? Do you love baking? Do you want to learn new techniques? If your answer is yes, then come and join hands with us.
