Spicy Fish Finger Recipe | Indian Style Fish Finger Recipe | Baked Fish Finger Recipe

Fish Finger Recipe
Today's recipe is a simple Kids friendly Fish Starter, Fish Finger both Deep fried & Baked Fish Finger version. Last month When I prepared Breadcrumbs with Homemade White Bread I immediately wanted to try some cutlet or Croquettes with it. But then I got to remember that got some King Fish Fillet at Whole Foods On weekend. So instead of cutlets, tried this easy Fish Finger recipe and it turned out great. My kids loved it a lot, they even liked the baked fillet too. I do not eat fish so I couldn't say about the taste but my kids thoroughly enjoyed it. You can add any spices to your taste or to your kids preference I mildly spiced the fish fillets and set it rest for 20-30 minutes. But you can fry or bake them immediately. Resting time definitely gives better flavor and taste to it.
Fish Finger are easy to make and can be served with ketchup or any kind of creamy or spicy dipping.

Hyderabadi Chicken 65 Recipe | Andhra Style Chicken 65 | Spicy Chicken Appetizer Recipe

Hyderabadi Chicken 65
Andhra style Chicken 65 / Hyderabadi chicken 65 recipe with step by step photos. Chicken 65 is an popular appetizer chicken recipe, that is prepared using boneless chicken with nice spices blend. Hyderabadi Chicken 65 is little different from the regular version, where the deep fried chicken is sauteed with spicy yogurt sauce. Few weeks ago I happened to watch this recipe video on you tube in telugu language by a popular restaurant's chef and impressed with it. Then I remember about the chicken 65 which we had in one of the restaurant near my place, it was really different from regular chicken 65 and the chicken pieces were nicely coated with spice powders. I thought they used to saute in spices after deep frying the chicken and tried it that way as per my guess. But the result was not good and chicken pieces turned dry and the masala did not coated with the chicken. Then after seeing that video I came to know that they use yogurt. At first I hesitated to try with yogurt, then first time tried with small amount for chicken and to my surprise it turned out good and it tasted almost same like the one we had in restaurant. Then decided to share it on my blog too. If you haven't tried chicken 65 this way, please give it a try this weekend, I am sure you will love this spicy, juicy and flavorful chicken 65.

Homemade Vegetable Stock Recipe | Basic Vegetable Stock or Broth Recipe | How To Make Veg Broth for Soup!

Homemade Vegetable Stock
Homemade Vegetable Stock or Broth Recipe with Step wise pictures. From this weekend I am going to share Kitchen Basics/DIY/How To's post on Saturdays. Just framed a theme by myself to be active on weekends. Lets see how it goes :)  So for this Saturday, I am sharing Homemade Vegetable Stock under Kitchen Basics Theme. I usually prefer Homemade stock for soups and I never bought from stores. But for me making stock is a big task, though it is a simple process somehow I am lazy to do it. When I decided to share Kitchen Basics, the first thing came to my mind was Vegetable Stock. So that I can make try my bookmarked recipes.
I mostly prefer light and clear soup and milk based or cheesy creamy soups are not my kind. For most of the soup recipes you need stock or Broth. Stock or Broth is nothing but a water simmered with lots of vegetable or meat for an hour or more. Instead of adding plain water to soup adding broth gives good taste, flavor and healthy too. Basic Stock can also be flavored with some herbs and spices.
I am sharing the basic vegetable stock recipe without much herbs and spices. Here I used 5-6 vegetables but you can use any available vegetables and spices.

Gobi Manchurian is a very popular and delicious Indo-Chinese Appetizer that is loved by all ages. I am a big fan of Manchurian recipes and Chicken Manchurian is my most favorite. This vegetarian Gobi Manchurian is much easy than the chicken Manchurian. Its been long time since i made this Gobi Manchurian, even the Gobi 65 was made long long back when i blogged here. Plus my diet plan will not let me to make such snacks but for my kids and blog sake make it once in a while. Today also for blog sake prepared this Gobi Manchurian and served it for lunch along with Vegetable Fried Rice.  As usual i did not use artificial colours and ajinimotto in this Indo-Chinese preparation also, again a simple version with basic ingredients with no compromise in taste. My kids loved it a lot and the little one requested to make it again and again :) Now off to the recipe...

Tofu Tikka - Easy Tofu Recipes

Usually i make curry, stir fry or fried rice with Tofu but this time wanted to make some easy appetizer or snack with Tofu. My first choice was any Chinese Starter but due to lack of few ingredients  i finally ended up with this Tofu Tikka. Tikka is a popular Indian appetizer mostly made using meat/chicken with the marinade of Yogurt & Indian spices combo. For a vegetarian option Paneer is commonly used in tikka preparations. Here, i used Extra Firm Tofu to make it healthy & Yummy. It can be grilled or baked in oven or u can cook in stove top also. I toasted them in an iron skillet, the tikka came out so perfect and tofu tasted so good with spices blend. This is one of the easy & simple appetizer for any get together/Potluck/any party. Chicken 65 / Indian Style Fried Chicken ~ Spicy n Juicy!

After a very long time i am posting a non-vegetarian recipe, and this is my H's favorite chicken recipe. I started cooking/eating non-veg recipes only after my marriage n i often make this chicken 65 for him. Initially i am not good in making this chicken 65 n later i learned myself to make a perfect crispy, spicy n juicy fried chicken from my faults. Then finally found the secret of making perfect chicken 65 n it depends on two factors, one is soaking time n the other is frying method. For this recipe, chicken should be marinated for more hours, at least 4-5 hours. And also you should fry the chicken in hot oil n cook in medium heat until it turns crisp n cooked. Now i am happy that i could make some good chicken recipes which tastes similar or sometimes even better that the restaurant recipes :) Ok now off to the recipe...

Again its time for The Gourmet Seven, we have successfully completed five months with all exotic gourmet recipes from various cuisine. And for this month we picked up Kababs - Indian Cuisine as our theme. We decided to choose any source for our recipe of the month. I have chosen Vegetarian Shammi Kabab and referred Chef Sanjay Thumma's recipe. This is the first time i tried shammi kabab and it was very new combo of ingredients to me, but the kabab was so flavorful and tasty. We really loved the inner cheesy-sweet-sour part of the kabab. This is stuffed with paneer-pom seeds and the kabab tasted so so delicious with chaat chutneys. With out this group n the challenging themes i never tried such recipes at home. Hara Bhara Kabab / Spinach Peas Potato Patties

For the last day of Blogging Marathon under Kids Delight ~ Evening snacks/Tiffin theme, I am sharing the healthy and delicious Hara Bhara Kabab. Few months back, we had this kabab in an Indian Restaurant, first on looking the kabab my boys doesn't like it n thought it as a spicy or bitter dish and they refused to eat. In restaurant it was served with spiced yogurt dip, so i asked them to taste the kabab with some yogurt and after two bites he thoroughly enjoyed eating with yogurt dip. First time i tried this kabab after watching Sanjeev Kapoor's recipe video on youtube. This Hara Bhara kabab is made out of spinach, peas and potato along with spices and is deep fried or shallow fried. To make it healthy i simply toasted the kabab on tawa and served with ketchup. Now to the recipe...

Onion Tart With Mustard N Fennel

We are entering in to the Fifth edition of The Gourmet Seven, and for this month we decided to bake some Pies/Tarts/Galattes/Quiches from Smitten Kitten. I have chosen a very flavorful n yummy Onion Tart With Mustard and Fennel two main reason to pick this recipe, one fennel is my fav spice n i love adding it in all my cooking and the other one i don't have tart pan! wanna buy one soon :) I rarely eat pies/tarts at restaurants and never thought to make one at home that too from the scratch. For this i would like to thank the members of The Gourmet Seven. Yes, without this group n their unique themes i would have not tried such recipes from the scratch. Thanks to those creative brains and i am so proud to be a part of this group!!
This was my first experiment with tarts, and this base/pastry was new to me...with yeast-egg combo. Honestly, i didn't like the smell of the dough with yeast n egg. I thought that my choice of recipe wasn't good this time:( But i didn't drop my work n proceeded  with some hope and instead of cheese I sprinkle Tandoori masala powder on top. To my surprise the final product was too good n it doesn't  have any yeast/egg smell. It tasted bit spicy and yummy like savory bread/pizza. My H and the elder one loved it. My kid asked me Y u made pizza spicy didn't add cheese?! My choice of recipe was successful and liked by my Family. The memories behind this creation will be in my mind forever :)
You could also add some veggies like mushroom, cabbage, carrots, spinach along with onions and make it a wholesome n yummy flavorful Tart. Now to the recipe....
